About the Speakers

Kim O’Brien  is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Americans for Annuity Protection. She has 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 12 years with The National Association for Fixed Annuities.

Paul Feldman is the president and publisher of InsuranceNewsNet.com and InsuranceNewsNet Magazine, both of which extensively serve producers and agents in the insurance and financial industries. With over 23 years of experience in the insurance world, Paul consults some of the largest insurance and marketing organizations in the industry.

Maria Ferrante-Schepis, MBA, CLU, is managing principal of Insurance and Financial Services Innovation at Maddock Douglas, Inc., an internationally recognized innovation consulting firm focused on helping large brands bring new ideas to market. Prior to Maddock Douglas, Maria was vice president and chief marketing officer at Guardian in New York City since 2007, and vice president of marketing at Prudential in Newark, New Jersey from 1999 – 2007. Maria was also chosen as one of the “20 Most Creative People in Insurance” by National Underwriter in 2015.

Cailie A. Currin, is President and owner of Currin Compliance Services, Inc. She has been in insurance regulation and compliance for over 20 years. Currin has been a New York State Insurance Department Regulator and in-house compliance attorney at a major life insurer. Since 2007, she and her staff have been providing a wide variety of compliance consulting and advisory services to life insurance companies, independent marketing organizations, agencies and producers.

Richard M. Weber,  MBA, CLU, AEP (DISTINGUISHED) is the Society of Financial Service Professional’s Kenneth Black, Jr. Leadership Award recipient for 2008 in recognition of his “... exemplary leadership qualities and significant contributions to the fulfillment of the Society’s core values of ethics, education, and relationships.” In 2009, Dick was elected to the NAEPC Estate Planning Hall of Fame and selected to receive the Distinguished Accredited Estate Planner award and designation for significant and outstanding lifetime achievements and contributions to the practice and profession of estate planning.
